Anyone who falls into the categories listed in point 2.1 of the Regulations may submit an unsolicited application by filling in the special online form available below no later than midnight of 10 /15/2024.
In the application procedure, the applicant will be asked to submit their Thesis project development idea (in pdf format). The Foundation may request additional documentation at its discretion
The candidates can be all students who graduated between September 2023 and July 2024 in the following courses:
− DAPL courses and three-year IED diploma courses at IED Italy locations;
− DASL courses at IED Italy locations;
− DAPL, DASL and five-year Restoration courses at the Aldo Galli Academy;
− TGEAS, BA (Hons) courses and four-year IED diploma courses at IED Spain locations;
− Bachelor Degree courses at IED Brazil locations.
The goal of the Francesco Morelli Foundation is to facilitate entry into the world of design culture and professions and to encourage entrepreneurship among young people in the design field.
In pursuit of this objective, the Foundation awards a €100,000 grant to outstanding projects developed by IED graduates in 2024. The grant is designed to support the progress of their thesis projects and equip students with essential resources, including professional webinars and guidance from experienced mentors.
The first evaluation of the documents presented will take place by 11/15/2024 and will be carried out by an external Commission, appointed by the President of the Foundation, on the basis of the following criteria:
• originality and innovation
• sustainability and feasibility
• social impact
During this first phase, the selected candidates will have access to a specific and free training phase on topics related to the development of the Business Plan.
The second evaluation will take place by 04/15/2025 and will be carried out by an external Commission based on the Business Plans received and taking into consideration the following criteria:
• Impact on the actual development of the Thesis project
• consistency with the criteria of the first evaluation
• coherence and economic sustainability of the project
The selected students will be able to develop their project with the support of professionals and Mentors and deliver the project and reporting by 11/30/2025
